Recently in our Journalism class, we watched a TED Talk video from Matt Cutts who shared about completing a 30 day challenge in order to experience new things, in addition to possibly starting or breaking a habit. I wanted to choose something that I would enjoy doing and have something at the end of the process to look back on. So, for my 30 day challenge, I have decided to take a photo of something new every day. I really love photography, but with my extremely busy schedule I just haven't had the chance to take time out of my day and take some pictures. Now that I am committing to this challenge, I am hoping to capture some special moments and to be able to look at the world around me in a different way. I am expecting it to become a little difficult each day to find something new to take a picture of. I want to have a variety of photos with different topics at the end of the challenge rather than all of them being of flowers or my dog. At the end of the 30 days, I want to be able to have at least a few photos that I am really proud of and I hope to see a difference in quality in the different photos that I take.
